Where: 1160 Oak Knoll Ave in Napa, a 10-minute drive from the River Terrace Inn In 1968, Eugene & Katie Trefethen began buying land in Napa, creating their 600-acre estate that would later become their own family-run vineyard. In 1979, just a few years later, Trefethen Chardonnay earned the title of “Best Chardonnay in the World” at the Gault-Millau Wine Olympics in Paris.
